A community screening of the award-winning documentary, “A Small Act,” will be hosted by Maloto, a nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children and women living in extreme poverty in northern Malawi. Sponsorship provided by Rivertown Film and Nyack High School’s Students Opposing Starvation (SOS). Proceeds will support students at Mzuzu Academy, a Sister School to the Nyack Schools, in Northern Malawi.

A Grand Jury Prize winner at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, “A Small Act” tells the story of a young man from Kenya whose astonishing journey from an impoverished village boy to international human rights lawyer shines a light on the incredible power of giving – no matter how small the gift.

$10 general admission, $5 for students
