In Beirut, 12-year-old Zain is suing his parents for bringing him into the world and failing to care for him or his siblings. Prior to the suit, Zain finds relief from his disorderly home by running errands for shopkeepers. After his parents marry off his younger sister, Zain flees, moving into the shantytown apartment of an African refugee and her son. His wanderings illustrate the absurdities and horrors of the larger world; they are a howl of protest and an anthem of resistance. Lebanon, 2018, 120 minutes, rated R
