Ten-piece band Dark Side of the Hudson visits the Nyack Center to perform Pink Floyd’s groundbreaking 1973 release “Dark Side of the Moon” and 1975 release “Wish You Were Here” note for note, exactly as you remember them, in front of Pink Floyd’s original stage projections, in a room filled with moving images.
Music has accompanied movies since even before sound was attached to film, but in the ’60s and ’70s concert producers and bands like Pink Floyd inverted the traditional movie score by adding movies to live music.
“Long you live and high you fly
And smiles you’ll give and tears you’ll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be”
Dark Side of the Hudson pays homage to two great rock albums and the glory days of concert light shows in an atmospheric journey that unites the art of music with the art of the motion picture.
One incredible not to be missed show only.
