An animated film composed of 65,000 oil paintings in the style of Vincent van Gogh that tells the story of the painters’ final days, and, through his art, the story of his life. During those days he was barely known. Now he is perhaps the most famous of all artists, and his paintings are some of the most recognized images in the world. 2017, 94 minutes, UK/Poland, rated PG-13, animation

Join a discussion after the film with 19th Century European art historian and curator, and author of two books on Vincent van Gogh, Richard Kendall.

“A one-of-a-kind work of art” – Peter Debruge, Variety

“An animated masterpiece! An absolutely stunning film that not only does justice to the art of van Gogh, but also to the art of movies. I have never seen anything on screen like it before. You will be amazed and lifted by this extraordinary film.” Pete Hammond, Deadline

Loving Vincent is almost too beautiful for its own good; I found myself, too often, so dazzled by the form that I quite forgot about the content.” – Moira Macdonald, Seattle Times
