Hopper Happens, Rivertown Film, ACADA of Nyack and the Village of Nyack present a FREE screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s PSYCHO on Monday, July 25. Find  a good spot to set up a lawn chair or park in the Artropee Way Municipal Parking Lot. Psycho will be projected against the Verizon building at 7:30.

Alfred Hitchcock often acknowledged Hopper’s  influence on his work. He told Anthony Perkins (who plays Norman Bates in Psycho) that if Norman Bates were a painting, he would be painted by Edward Hopper. And the Bates Mansion was based on Hopper’s painting, “House by the Railroad,” of a house still standing in Haverstraw.

Sit in your car or lawn chair, enjoy refreshments from Nyack Gourmet, served by Suburbia Roller Derby, and watch Psycho, projected on the Verizon building in Nyack. Tune your radio to 102.5 to hear the soundtrack.

Hopper Happens celebrated Edward Hopper this summer with a series of projections, flash mobs, readings and performances.
