A cinematic adventure examining the vibrant life of a cowboy, conservationist and award-winning writer, who through extreme perseverance is preserving part of America: 500 wild mustangs now run free on the 12,000-acre Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary.

Running Wild opens in New York, Los Angeles and other cities on Friday, October 4th.

Running Wild includes breathtaking scenery shot in the Black Hills Wild of South Dakota; western Oregon and Michigan’s Lake District. Footage of captured wild horses presents a stark contrast to the horses running free on the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary. Through a series of interviews with Dayton, his family and the volunteers at the sanctuary, Running Wild reveals Dayton Hyde’s extraordinary life and vision conveying the emotional healing that the sanctuary nurtures in Dayton, the volunteers and each and every horse that now runs free. Here is an enduring record of tales from “a West that was and will never be again.”

Tickets must be purchased online in advance. The general admission price is $10. https://runningwildwithrosa.eventbrite.com/

$95 tickets include an after film event and concert at the Gary Goldberg Financial Services Montebello Mansion, an 1860′s country estate. Music from the soundtrack will be performed by the composer, award winning singer-songwriter Steve Polz.
