A coming-of-age drama/fantasy about Nathan, a 25-year-old autistic man who depends upon Laura, his younger, opiate-addicted sister, for help navigating the challenges of life. Rather than surrender to social services when their difficulties become overwhelming, they risk everything to find the imaginary happy kingdom of their childhood imaginations. A story as much about the perspective of an adult living with autism as about what it means to take care of someone with autism. Nathan is played by an autistic actor. 2018, USA, 97 minutes

Post-screening discussion with director Olicer Munoz, producer Michelle Opitz, and actors Jacob Lince and Madison Ford. With Dr. Jeanne Marron, Clinical Specialist and Community Educator, West Bergen Mental Healthcare.

“a potent coming of age tale working to redefine industry-wide stereotypes, resolutely simmering with authenticity. Dynamically acted with a punch of poignancy, this low-budget indie film is impressively revolutionary on two counts – by way of novel substance and phenomenal aesthetics.” – Ayurella Horn-Muller, Film Threat
