Get high on nature at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival on 4/20. celebrates the Earth’s beauty, the challenges facing our planet and the work communities are doing to protect the environment. It is the largest environmental film festival held in the US. After the festival launches in Nevada City, California, it tours the country, and it is presented annually at the historic Lafayette Theatre in Suffern. This year Rivertown Film joins ROSA (Ramapo Organized for Sustainability and a Safe Aquifer) in helping bring Wild & Scenic to our region. Celebrate award-winning films about sustainability and the preservation of the great outdoors at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival.

Doors open at 6:30. The mighty Wurlitzer organ plays until 7:30. Film program runs from 7:30 to 10:00 PM.

The first film of the evening is brickhead EARTH, about Rockland County artist James Tyler and an installation of one of his well known ceramic heads at the Burning Man festival in 2015, made by Rivertown Film board chair Suzanne Mitchell.
